The above 0 to 60 Mph and quarter mile times have been sourced from a combination of public publications, private testimonials and individual testing. Please keep in mind that there are a multitude of real world factors that can skew these results, including but not limited to: driver ability, pavement quality, tire quality, elevation, temperature, humidity at the testing site, and the quality of the recording device. Based on this, owners should expect their own vehicles to perform within a general acceptable range of these values.

Lincoln History:

Lincoln, Ford’s answer to GM’s Cadillac division, has produced some of the most beautiful vehicles of the past 100 years. After being founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the company was purchased by Ford in 1922. This was a significant achievement for Henry Ford, as Leland had forced Henry out of his first car company twenty years earlier (which eventually became known as Cadillac). As such, the two luxury marquees at the forefront of the American car landscape have been competitively intertwined since the very beginning.

While performance was not at the forefront of Lincoln’s original design philosophy, luxury and comfort was. It’s no surprise then that the majority of Lincolns have shared a common frame and engine combination with their Ford brethren. This has allowed Lincoln to focus its resources on luxury designs, creating what is known as the “personal luxury car”. Yet Lincoln has been responsible for a number of American production car firsts, including clearcoat paint, halogen headlamps and 4-wheel abs. Numerous examples of Lincoln’s design ingenuity can be seen; as cars such as the Zephyr, Continental & Town Car are widely regarded as the epitome of American luxury. Modern Lincolns maintain this luxury first philosophy while incorporating state-of-the-art performance features. When picking up a new MKS, MKT or MKC you’ll be rewarded with a driving experience that can be only categorized as uniquely Lincoln.
