The above 0 to 60 Mph and quarter mile times have been sourced from a combination of public publications, private testimonials and individual testing. Please keep in mind that there are a multitude of real world factors that can skew these results, including but not limited to: driver ability, pavement quality, tire quality, elevation, temperature, humidity at the testing site, and the quality of the recording device. Based on this, owners should expect their own vehicles to perform within a general acceptable range of these values.

Buick History:

Known more for producing premium vehicles than a sports car maker, Buick has cultivated a discreet performance heritage since the 1960’s. Founded in 1899, the early years of Buick were highlighted by a number of innovative engine designs that paved the way for many of today’s engine architectures. The company was consolidated into GM in 1908, and has maintained its position as a luxury car just below that of GM’s flagship, Cadillac, ever since.

While the brand experienced some initial racing success, winning the first ever race held at Indianapolis Speedway, it was clear that Buick’s real gift to the automotive world would be in innovating new technologies. The marquee is responsible for not only the first closed-body car, but for creating the synchromesh transmission, turn signals & automatic vacuum-operated spark advance. Furthering this innovative philosophy, Buick’s attention turned to upscale sports cars in the 1950’s. Creating a number of memorable Grand Sport & GSX cars through the 60’s and 70’s. After producing the iconic Grand National & GNX in the late 1980’s, Buick has maintained a more subtle performance presence. To this day though, almost any Buick can be optioned with a neck-snapping performance variant, from the Lacrosse to the Regal T.
